How to get a Marriage License in Ontario
Getting your marriage license in Ontario is quite simple. It takes roughly 15 to 45 minutes and costs $120 to $160 dollars. Read all the steps below!
Step #1. Timing
You can only apply for your marriage license within 90 days of your wedding day due to expiration. I recommend getting your license 1 to 2 months before the wedding day.

Step #3. Prepare Photo I.D and completed Marriage License Application Form
Step #3. Prepare all Files and Photo I.D’s
Prepare 2 pieces of photo
It is recommended that both persons go into the CityHall if one was divorced
( they will need to obtain a divorce certificate from the issuing municipality ) and if one if not a Canadian Citizen.
If you do not have a drivers license, please contact the City hall where you plan to go to and ask what type of Photo Identification they will accept.

Best Officiant!
Alex was absolutely amazing. Words cannot express how much we loved having him officiate our special day. He was always available to help us and really personalize the ceremony. Our guests had nothing but great things to say about him and how smoothly the ceremony went. Even prior to the wedding, he was available to answer any questions, responding quickly and providing his feedback. We just felt so comfortable and couldn’t ask for anyone else.
